Starting and stopping a game

To start a game, type !start in the channel. The one who starts a game can stop it at any time by typing !stop.

Once a game has been started, players can join by typing !join in the channel. Players can leave at any time by typing !remove. Players who leave during a game will not have their scores recorded.

The game will start about 30 seconds after the last player has joined. As long as the game still is in it's first round, more players are free to join.

Playing the game

Once the game has been started, its time to play. Each round has 3 turns, and players play in the order that they joined the game.

When it is your turn to play you can use the following commands to decide what to do.

Rolling the dice

Type !roll (or !r for short) followed by the dices you wish to roll. Dice are specified by numbers 1 to 5. For instace !roll 135 will roll dice 1, 3 and 5. The rest of the dices will be kept.

Alternatively you can specify wich dice to keep by using !keep (or !k for short) followed by the dice you want to keep. The rest will be rolled. Dice are specified in the same manner as for !roll.

Writing just !keep will keep no dices and roll all. Writing !roll literally means roll none, keep rest and waste a turn. Do not use !roll if you intend to roll all your dices.

Redisplaying your current dice

Sometimes there's a lot of stuff going on, lot's of talk. In general: Stuff that spams your current dice out of the window. To redisplay the current dice type !dice, or !d for short.

Scoring

Once you have used your 3 rounds or has something satisfactory you will need to score. Do this by using the !score command followed by what you intend to score. Type !score without any parameters to get a list of things that can be scored.

Checking your current sheet

If you are unsure about your score, what you have scored and what you have left you can at anytime in the game type !sheet.

If you wish to see another player's sheet type !sheet followed by the player's name.

Scoring rules

Scores are determined by specific rules. Any scoring not satisfying the requirements of the specific score will be scored 0.

Ones to Sixes

Ones, Twos, Threes, Fours, Fives and Sixes all score by the same system. It will score the sum of the dices fitting that specific field. For instance the dice 3, 4, 6, 6, 6 will score 18 on Sixes, 4 on Fours, 3 on Threes and none on the remaining pre-bonus scores.

Bonus

The Bonus scores 35 points. To get a bonus you need to score at least 3 of each pre-bonus score, or a subtotal equivalent to this. For those who don't feel like doing the math: Get 63 points or more on the subtotal.

Pairs

1 Pair requires you to have 2 dice (or more) that match. Also known as a pair. For 2 Pairs the requirement is to similarly have 2 pairs. Two equal pairs (that is 4 dice that match) is also valid.

The recorded score will be the sum of the dice.

3 & 4 of a kind

Just what the name implies. Have 3 or 4 dice that match. Having more than the required 3 & 4 is also valid scoring.

The recorded score will be the sum of the dice.

Full house

To score a Full house you need 2 & 3 dice that match. That means that 5, 5, 3, 3, 3 will be a valid Full house.

A full house scores 25 points.

Long and short straight

A straight is a sequence of numbers. A Short straight requires a sequence of 4 numbers, while a Long straight requires a sequence of 5.

A Short straight scores 30 points and a Long straight scores 40 points.

Yahtzee

To score a Yahtzee all dice must match. This will give you a score of 50.

For any subsequent Yahtzees you score, regardless of where you choose to score it, will also score a Yahtzee bonus of 100 points.

Chance

The Chance is a place where anything can be scored. The score will be the sum of the dice.
